Designing for a start-up to make a digital presence

Translead Medtech Private Limited is a start-up aimed to address the issues faced by elderly people and it is a deep-tech spin-off from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

Problem Statement

Translead Medtech Pvt. Ltd., a healthcare start-up based out of Banglore, wanted a website which could clearly state the mission of the start-up, the product and the team behind this visionary product.

Step 1: Understanding the needs of the client

The initial step involved scheduling a call with the startup to gain a comprehensive understanding of their product, current activities, stage of development, and objectives for the website. This helped establish a solid foundation for further collaboration and ensured alignment with their goals and vision. Some of the goals were:

🎯 Clear communication about the mission and vision of the start-up

🎯 Complete description of the product.

🎯 The advisory board and grants received by the start-up. 

Step 2: The UX of the website

Following an in-depth examination of existing healthcare websites and a thorough comprehension of the client's requirements, wireframes were meticulously crafted. These wireframes served as a blueprint for discussions on user navigation, delineation of website sections, and presentation styles. This approach facilitated a clear visualization of the website's structure and functionality, ensuring alignment with the client's expectations and user needs.

Step 3: The UI of the website

The user interface design of the website underwent 3 to 4 iterations, each iteration incorporating strategic changes to align with both the business requirements and design standards. These iterative refinements ensured that the final design effectively addressed the needs of the business while adhering to established design principles.

💎Learnings

Being the first gig in this domain, it was quite a rollercoaster but a valuable learning experience. This gave me an idea of how to make sure that you have the client's requirements right, how to make sure that you and the client are on the same page, what are industry standards and how to make sure that the website follows the brand guidelines.
